Kyrgyz FM at the fifth Ministerial Conference “Heart of Asia / Istanbul process” in Afghanistan


Bishkek, December 9 . The delegation of Kyrgyzstan headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Abdyldaev is in Islamabad to participate in the Fifth Ministerial Conference Heart of Asia / Istanbul process on Afghanistan. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The inauguration of the conference was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and the President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, who welcoming the participants of the meeting stressed the importance of this international forum and expressed hope that its results will contribute to the strengthening of security, promoting peace and prosperity in the region.

Abdyldaev, in his speech called on all countries to more actively support Afghanistan in the aspiration for stability and development, and noted that the achievement of peace and stability in Afghanistan is possible only with the concerted and common efforts, first of all, of all the states in the region and support of the world community.

Nine foreign ministers -Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, China, Tajikistan, Iran, Turkey and Latvia, as well as representatives of other countries, international and regional organizations take part in the fifth Ministerial Conference “Heart of Asia” / Istanbul process on Afghanistan.

International forum “Heart of Asia” / Istanbul process on Afghanistan brings together 14 countries of the Eurasian region, including the Middle East. At the same time, 16 countries in Asia, Europe and the USA, as well as 14 international and regional organizations support this process in order to discuss the reconstruction of Afghanistan through its integration into the regional development system.
