Prime Minister Temir Sariev receives delegation of Japanese Parliament


Bishkek, December 21. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Temir Sariev received the Japanese delegation headed by deputy of the House of Representatives, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan’s Parliament Kazunori Tanaka.

During the meeting they discussed issues of improvement and expansion of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan, the Government’s press office reports.

The Prime Minister said that Japan permanently provides comprehensive assistance. Kyrgyzstan is interested in further development of bilateral cooperation.

He also noted a significant contribution made by Japan in holding transparent parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan, in October 2015 with the use of biometric data of citizens.

“We express our interest in expanding bilateral cooperation, attraction of investments and strengthening of cooperation of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue, said Sariev.

In turn, Kazunori Tanaka noted that Japan also attaches great importance to developing cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
