Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan continue to work on state border demarcation


Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Dec. 12

Government delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan have held a regular meeting of the joint Uzbek-Kazakh demarcation commission in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) December 7-11, 2015, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The sides continued to prepare the final documents on demarcation of the Uzbek-Kazakh state border, according to the ministry.

The negotiations were carried out in constructive manner, good neighborhood spirit and mutual respect of interests of the sides, the ministry said.

Previous meeting of the Uzbek-Kazakh demarcation commission of the governmental delegations of the two countries took place in August 2015 in the city of Shymkent (Kazakhstan).

Currently, the process of demarcation of the Uzbek-Kazakh border with a total length of nearly 2,300 kilometers has been virtually completed.
